Last night, Odessa experienced a heavy rainstorm accompanied by strong wind gusts. By morning, it was reported that 36 trees and large branches had been downed due to the gales. Local services immediately began work to address the aftermath.
Emergency situations are being handled by specialists from the municipal enterprises «City Green Trust», «City Roads», and «Housing and Communal Services» at their respective sites. The municipal workers are cutting up the fallen trees and removing them, as well as cleaning the streets of debris.
First and foremost, the workers cleared roads, highways, and sidewalks of fallen trees and also removed those blocking access to significant social facilities. Currently, work has been completed at 25 locations, while ongoing efforts continue at 11 sites.
