The Deputy Mayor of Odesa, Pavlo Vuhelman, held a meeting with Sabina Nicole Fraser, the head of the «UN Women» office in Ukraine.
Also present were the Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy, Olena Kytainska, and the Mayor's Advisor on Gender Equality, Liliia Leonidova.
The main topic of discussion was the implementation of gender policy at the local level.
The parties also addressed the status of projects aimed at assisting victims of domestic and gender-based violence.
Meeting participants reviewed the city's efforts to combat violence, including the establishment of specialized support services such as day centers and mobile teams for social and psychological assistance.
Additionally, representatives of the «UN Women» office conducted a monitoring of women's rights and vulnerable groups in Odesa.
Based on the report, the city will receive technical and methodological support in the fight against gender-based violence.
