As part of a joint operation by the Security Service and the State Border Guard Service, a foreign vessel was detained in the Black Sea for illegally transporting Ukrainian agricultural goods stolen from temporarily occupied territories.
This was reported by the SBU.
According to sources, the name of the detained ship is Anka.
The investigation revealed that the arrested vessel was part of Russia's 'shadow' fleet used for selling looted Ukrainian grain to third countries. At the end of 2024, this cargo ship exported 5,000 tons of wheat from the port of Sevastopol, which was stolen from the occupied southern territories of Ukraine.
According to the State Border Guard Service, the vessel sailed under the flag of one of the Asian countries to disguise the origin of the cargo.
During the search, navigation equipment, ship documentation, and other material evidence indicating the involvement of the vessel and crew in illegal transportation schemes were seized.
The vessel was arrested, and the crew was detained. Pre-trial investigations are ongoing.
