In collaboration with the Ministry of Development, Odesa is implementing the initiative «Barrier-Free Routes» aimed at creating a comfortable and accessible urban environment for all citizens.
The Barrier-Free Council has begun a comprehensive inspection of all tram routes in Odesa.
From April 23 to 25, the focus will be on assessing how accessible the electric transport is for everyone.
Members of the expert group, along with specialists, monitored the following routes: №№11, 13, 17, 18, 5, 10, and 28. Further inspections of routes №№ 21, 15, and 12 are still to come.
During the inspections, they evaluated the condition of platforms, access to stops, and the availability of tram cars.
All data, observations, and recommendations collected during the monitoring will be organized and presented at the next meeting of the Barrier-Free Council.
The goal is not only to identify issues but also to implement a clear mechanism for change.
