Today, April 28, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the M-14 highway connecting Odessa and Mykolaiv in the village of Vyzirka.
According to Dmitry Slyuta, head of the transportation crime investigation department of the Odessa Police, it has been preliminarily established that a female driver of a «Toyota» caused a collision while attempting to overtake, involving two other cars and a truck.
As a result of the accident, one driver died, while two others and one passenger were hospitalized with various injuries.
Investigative and operational police groups were present at the scene, along with patrol units.
A criminal investigation has been initiated under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, concerning violations of traffic rules that resulted in death or serious injury.
Several examinations will be conducted as part of the investigation to ascertain all circumstances of the accident.
Police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and remain vigilant on the roads.
