On December 20, 2024, the Odessa Literary Museum hosted the opening of the V choir festival 'The Flame of Christmas', organized by the T. I. Boyevaya Art School No. 15.

Ivan Liptuga, the head of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration of the Odessa City Council, welcomed everyone with festive greetings, expressing hopes for continued celebration of Odessa's talents.

Participating choirs from artistic schools and music institutions of the Odessa region performed Christmas musical pieces, leaving the audience with unforgettable impressions.

The festival also featured a scientific-methodological conference titled 'Christmas Songs in Contemporary Choral Music'.

During the conference, discussions revolved around the development of Ukrainian folk singing and innovations in working with choirs within the musical educational system of Ukraine.

The second day of the festival, December 23, 2024, will be dedicated to remote performances by various ensembles. This year, participation includes choirs and groups from several large and small cities across Ukraine: Odessa, Chornomorsk, Kryvyi Rih, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, and Strizhavka, with support from groups in Norway and Moldova.
