The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, held an online meeting with the Mayor of Chișinău, Ion Ceban. Both mayors celebrated a significant milestone – 30 years of partnership – and discussed current issues and future cooperation developments.
The previous meeting between Trukhanov and Ceban took place at the Summit of European City Mayors in Strasbourg, where they, along with their colleagues, discussed the role of local governance in fostering an active civil society and implementing infrastructure projects.
Ion Ceban noted that Moldova is currently carrying out several joint projects with neighboring Romania and sees great potential in trilateral cooperation.
Hennadii Trukhanov and Ion Ceban agreed to establish a trilateral working group to develop joint projects in infrastructure, economy, and social support, thereby ensuring sustainable city growth and strengthening ties between Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.
This initiative will help attract additional resources, facilitate experience exchange, and provide support to Ukrainians during these challenging times.
