The municipal institution «Specialized Installation and Operational Division» summarized the results of the work done during this recreational season along the coast of the city.
Thanks to the establishment of a two-way bicycle lane from the 11th to the 16th station of the Great Fountain, cyclists can now easily travel from the city center to the 16th station.
«This bicycle lane allows for safe movement throughout the city. We see its popularity increasing, and by the mayor's request, we will continue to develop cycling routes across the city», said Pavel Vugelman, Deputy Mayor of Odessa.
The president of the cycling club «Arcadia» also noted the positive changes.
«This bicycle lane has become the best in the city. Since its opening, I've noticed a significant rise in the number of cyclists. People are actively responding to the new markings. It’s gratifying as we observe the growth of cycling sports in Odessa», said Victoria Bondarenko.
The city plans to further develop the cycling transport infrastructure, including connecting residential areas through new cycling routes.
