Recently, Samsung announced changes to its account policy set to take effect on July 31, 2025. The main change involves the deletion of accounts that have been inactive for 24 months, as reported by Sammobile.
If a user has not logged into their Samsung account or used it for authentication in the company's services for two years, the account will be deemed inactive and subject to deletion. Following this, access to the account will be blocked, and all associated data will be permanently erased.
To prevent deletion, Samsung advises users to log into their accounts by July 31 or utilize any of the company’s services requiring authentication. Additionally, the company will send email notifications to owners of inactive accounts as a reminder to log in.
This policy aims to enhance data security for users who have not accessed their accounts for an extended period. Therefore, those who haven’t used their Samsung accounts for a while should check their activity to avoid losing access.
