A significant outage has occurred in the ChatGPT service from OpenAI, impacting users around the world.

Users have reported substantial difficulties accessing the platform since this morning, as noted by the monitoring site Downdetector.

ChatGPT Outage: Reasons Behind the Service Disruption

Many users are complaining about being unable to load the chat or receive responses, instead encountering a system error message: “Something went wrong.”

The first reports of malfunctions began coming in around 10:00 AM Kyiv time, quickly spreading to numerous countries.

The official OpenAI status page confirmed the existence of issues, stating there is an “increased number of errors and delays.”

The disruptions have affected not just ChatGPT, but also the Sora video creation tool and the API.

By around 1:00 PM, the company updated its information, classifying the ChatGPT issues as a “partial outage” and categorizing the Sora issues separately.

The issues are not uniform across all users: some are experiencing extremely slow service and significant response delays, while others continue to use the chatbot without noticeable problems.

OpenAI representatives have officially stated that they are continuing to investigate the incident.

Currently, the causes of the outage and an estimated time for full service restoration have not been disclosed.
