Meta has introduced a new line of smart glasses developed in collaboration with Oakley. The limited edition Oakley Meta HSTN is priced at $499 and will be available for pre-order starting July 11, 2025. Other Oakley models will go on sale this summer, starting from $399.
Like the Meta Ray-Ban, these glasses feature a front-facing camera, microphones, and open-type speakers. When connected to a smartphone, users can listen to music or podcasts, make calls, and interact with Meta AI. With the camera and microphones, Meta AI can provide environmental information and translate text.
This new model is primarily designed for athletes. The glasses are moisture-resistant with an IPX4 rating and can operate for up to 8 hours on a single charge—twice as long as the Meta Ray-Ban. With the charging case, the total battery life reaches 48 hours. The camera now supports 3K recording (compared to 1080p in Ray-Ban).
The series is available in five color variants, and all models can be ordered with prescription lenses for an additional fee. Frame colors available include gray, black, brown smoke, and clear, with multiple lens options, including photochromic.
The limited edition priced at $499 will feature gold accents and Oakley PRIZM lenses. Sales will begin in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
Additionally, Meta has recently signed a multi-year agreement with EssilorLuxottica—the parent company of Ray-Ban and Oakley. They have already sold over two million pairs of Meta Ray-Ban and aim to sell 10 million smart glasses annually by 2026.
