On May 27, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in collaboration with the National Ecological and Naturalist Center for Student Youth, held the final of the Ukrainian National Championship in Information Technology "Ecosoft" online.
Based on the national championship results, the Ukrainian team was formed for the International Computer Project Competition INFOMATRIX-2024, scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 4, 2024, in Bucharest, Romania.
In the super final, eight students from Odessa Lyceum No. 65 showcased their projects in various areas, including programming and 3D modeling. This was their debut at such a competitive level.
The lyceum team received several awards, including one first-degree diploma and two second-degree diplomas.
Winners who will represent Ukraine at the international stage include:
- Yegor Bovkun, a 10th-grade student with the project "The First Helicopter in the World";
- Ruslan Masko and Ivan Zmievsky, 8th-grade students with the film "The Meaning of Life".
The projects were prepared with the assistance of IT teachers Oleg Pustovoyt and Alla Omelchenko.

This year, students from Odessa Lyceum No. 65 made a remarkable achievement by representing Ukraine internationally for the eighth consecutive year. The experience gained since 2016 has been crucial for organizing national-level events. Alumni and teachers were actively involved in organizing and judging the championship. The youngest judge was 11th-grade student Yulia Butuk, while teacher Oleg Pustovoyt was appointed as a curator for the team’s preparation for the international finals.
