Earlier today in Odesa, a gas explosion in the Peresyp district led to a fire in an apartment on the first floor of a nine-story building.
Emergency services responded quickly and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to adjacent apartments.
Unfortunately, the apartment owner, born in 1981, suffered burns covering 35% of his body and was hospitalized in the burn center's intensive care unit. Additionally, a worker from a nearby salon, born in 1987, sustained minor cuts from flying glass due to the explosion.
Psychologists from the emergency service were on-site to provide psychological assistance to local residents.
A total of 9 units of equipment and 33 firefighters were involved in the response efforts.
