The boxing championship of the Odessa region for juniors (2011-2012) and youth (2007-2008) took place from October 9 to 12, 2024.

A total of 101 athletes participated in the competitions for juniors and girls, and 61 athletes competed in the youth category from various districts of the region and the city of Odessa.

Odessa was represented by athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports Schools No. 5 and No. 8, currently training 60 and 54 boxers respectively.

From CDYUSSH No. 8, 10 athletes competed, with 9 winning medals.

The first place among juniors went to Oleksandr Shchupak (80 kg), silver medals were earned by Samih Abbasov (48 kg) and Yaroslav Kuklev (50 kg), while bronze medals went to Mykhailo Averin (57 kg), Yaroslav Zukhyn (53 kg), and Artem Farik (38 kg).

In the youth category, the champion was Hennadiy Dmytrenko (63.5 kg), with silver medals going to Ivan Karpov (54 kg) and Artur Prodan (67 kg).

From CDYUSSH No. 5, 7 athletes participated, 6 of whom also won medals.

The champion was Tamara Didenko (75 kg), while silver medals were awarded to David Tyukavkin (36 kg) among juniors and Andriy Surmay (63.5 kg) among youth. The bronze medals among juniors went to Daniil Steshenko (60 kg), Dmytro Budigai (75 kg), and Matviy Makhonko (66 kg).

The athletes were trained by: Volodymyr Osipchuk, Ihor Hordiienko, and Dmytro Boboshko (CDYUSSH No. 8), Yurii Tsuyun and Volodymyr Zhelezko (CDYUSSH No. 5).

This year, a student of CDYUSSH No. 8 Illia Rybin won a silver medal at the Ukrainian championship for juniors and girls of 2010-2011 and received an invitation to the youth national team of Ukraine. Additionally, this year, a student of CDYUSSH No. 5 Rashad Rasulov became the champion of Ukraine in boxing among students, and Imran Hadzhiev from CDYUSSH No. 8 won a silver medal at this tournament.
